Stone Floor Re-finishing

Stones such as MARBLE, TRAVERTINE, & LIMESTONE wear down over time and their surfaces can look faded.

Regular mopping and the occasional deep-clean (using a system like our tile & grout system - only with specialized tools) can leave stone floors looking dull and hazy after a few years. The prime items which are harmful to stone are :

  • Dirt and Sand. Dirt & sand carried in on shoes is abrasive to the surface and acts like sandpaper.
  • Acids. Certain food items and household products are acidic in nature. The acids come in contact with the surface of the stone and cause “water-spots” that will not wipe away.
  • Stains. Other items of staining nature such as rust, oil, or inks can penetrate the porous stone & leave marks.

Mean Clean’s certified technicians utilize the appropriate blend of Grinding, Honing, and Polishing during the restoration process. When complete your floor will have the look and feel it had when new.
